What is BeneStream's Public Insurance Transition Tool?

BeneStream is the only company to help enroll and renew employees and their families into public insurance options, like Medicaid and CHIP. CHIP is the children's health insurance program. Both of these programs cover millions of Americans. Currently, 70 plus million Americans are enrolled in Medicaid or CHIP. It covers full-time workers as well. Many times, workers don't know they need to renew into these programs, or don't know these programs exist. We partner closely with businesses and brokers across the nation to help reduce risks and costs associated with workers taking the company insurance. We do this through our three-step program here where we're guiding employees through a sometimes complex process to ensure that they understand the Medicaid and CHIP options respectively for themselves and/or their family members.

How is BeneStream's Public Insurance Transition Tool different?

We're here to compliment the group health plan, not replace it by helping a specific target group of employees that sometimes can't afford the company insurance. Our service helps balance the employee risk pool overall, reducing costs and risks in the short term through premiums and the long term through claims. We're here to help increase participation rates as well when there might be employees that are not taking the company insurance. It's a win-win for both the employee and employer. It brings value for the CFO, the C-suite, and a new benefit for HR.

Who is a good fit for BeneStream's Public Insurance Transition Tool?

We're here to reduce costs and risks, specifically by helping this group of employees. Many times, workers making under $50,000 a year can qualify for these programs or transition from Medicaid to CHIP when they lose eligibility. This can still be a win if they change plan tier or wait until open enrollment to come off the company insurance overall. Being eligible for Medicaid is a qualifying life event, so we can use our program year-round. We've also seen our client partners use it as a way to boost retention and attract talent, especially in an increasingly complex space where employers are fighting for talent.
