What is Ochsner Connected Health?

Ochsner Connected Health, unlike every single point solution in our space, we are actually coming from an award-winning academic not-for-profit health system that is offering care for members with hypertension, obesity, and type 2 diabetes. This program is available nationwide and we sell to self-funded employers, mainly through consultants and brokers. This program came about as a care modality. It was actually never meant to be a product. It just happened to work so well that a large oil and gas company asked us to take it nationwide for all of their employees eligibility. We use remote monitoring and an app-based technology coupled with virtual clinical care teams to manage medication and provide in-depth lifestyle support to help our members manage their conditions in ways that VC backed point solutions really can only dream about.

How is Ochsner Connected Health different?

So the big differentiators would be the fact that one-to-one clinician relationships are longitudinal with our members. They last for the length of that member's experience with us. Another huge differentiator for us is that we have an Epic MyChart integration. So all readings, medication changes, encounter notes, all that is in the member's Epic MyChart record, and it's available to their PCP no matter who they are, where they are, what health system that they're in. We're the only solution in our space with that capability. Nobody's even close. I'll also note that we were highlighted as significantly different in clinical validity by the Peterson Health Technology Institute.

Who is a good fit for Ochsner Connected Health?

So while this list isn't the be all end all, I can highlight some of the group level persona and characteristics where Connected Health resonates, self-funded employers that are willing to buy services outside of their health plan on a direct contract. They have higher average ages where there is a higher need for condition management, you know, high rates of obesity, hypertension, type 2 diabetes. Also, if the client has tried remote patient monitoring solutions before, maybe through their carrier and they've been left a little wanting in terms of the actual outcomes, they want something more clinical, that is a great scenario. Also if they have navigation or concierge solutions or on-site / near-site clinics, those are fantastic environments for us to partner with the client. Example industries, again, not exclusive, but some where we've had really good success would be oil and gas, public sector, banks and technology, professional services, manufacturing, and even other health systems.
