What is Mirza?

So Mirza provides employer-sponsored zero interest for mobile care financing. And our first product is focused on childcare. We're addressing the intertwined crises of the labor shortage and the broken childcare system by directly linking affordable childcare to employee retention and attendance. Similar to a tuition reimbursement model, employers use our platform to help their employees pay for care. And then forgive that principle in exchange for retention. Why do we exist? Because the current cost and state of childcare is unaffordable for the majority of working families, and this forces 2 million parents to limit their hours or step back from the workforce entirely each year. It also costs employers 125 billion a year and lost productivity.

How is Mirza different?

So companies like care.com have tackled access and solve for the needs of knowledge workers, but most current solutions don't address the root of the issue, which is affordability. Work from home policies and backup care can help, but they don't meet the needs of the 80% of our workforce within person or shift-based work. Our solution allows employees to choose whichever type of care works best for their family. So they're not limited by provider, hours, or location, making this an inclusive and culturally competent product.
