Asterias is an innovative, direct primary care solution that dramatically reduces the cost of an employer sponsored on-site clinic, while offering exceptional patient experience. We're a division of in-house physicians, a 30-year old company that primarily had focused on meetings and events and direct primary care. The model was created and designed to address two critical issues, the growing challenge of accessing primary care, and the continued escalation of healthcare costs impacting both employers and employees. Wouldn't it be nice for employees when they have an ailment to be able to just walk right into the doctor's office at their workplace? That's what we've created. This way you don't have to take time off work, drive to the doctor, wait, then see them for three minutes, and get referred to someone else, taking more time off.

Asterias has reinvented the worksite health clinic with an innovative blend of personalized and on-site care, along with virtual primary and specialty care supported by advanced virtual telediagnostics. Asterias sits in front of your traditional insurance plan, reducing claims via the traditional plan, and can be added at any time of the year, especially during outside your open enrollment and medical plan year. We provide each clinic with a dedicated clinical team consisting of: an on-site nurse with advanced exam training, a virtual board-certified primary care physician, a virtual board-certified nurse practitioner, along with a care coordinator to guide the patient to our other integrated point solution partners. We're basically the hub with many spokes.
Who is a good fit for Asterias Health?
A good fit would be your mid to large size employers with a few hundred and up, who are ideally self-insured and looking to capitalize on cost-saving solutions for them and their workforce. Those that have looked at direct primary care in the past, but couldn't afford the traditional models' PEPM of roughly $60-$80, while our pricing with 500 employees starts at $19.50. Those currently utilizing the traditional model and looking for drastic cost savings up to about 60%.
