What is The Difference Card?

The Difference Card is a TPA that's been around for about 20 years. We specialize in the administration of Medical Expense Reimbursement Plans. Those are somewhat unique in the marketplace and really unique at The Difference Card, because we can add a re-insurance component to the Medical Expense Reimbursement Plan. Which essentially guarantees the results that the client will receive from the adoption of The Difference Card. We can cap those liabilities on either an annual or a monthly basis. And then we also have products that will work with dental insurance. So then all of your other kind of traditional TPA services, health reimbursement arrangements, HSA, flexible spending, dependent care or parking and transit accounts. We really do it all. And I think we do it better than most of our competition.

How is the difference card different?

It was down to technology and the people that we have to help get this rolled out for our valued clients. The card that you see here can handle all of those different benefits. One single card for a member. A separate card for their spouse but it can handle all those benefits. And we go in and we teach them how to consume those funds that are being provided to by their employer. Allows the employer to buy less insurance from the insurance company. And then fund back to those rich levels that the employees experience today. We can make it a really seamless experience. We'll handle the education piece of it and provide the ongoing support that it's really going to make this a success throughout the plan year.

Who's a good fit for The Difference Card.

Really any group that is fully insured, it's cost-conscious and it needs to save money on their health insurance spend. We can do this in all markets across the country. We can work with any underlying carrier that the group may have in place today. It is portable with other carriers. It's not that hard to get a proposal.
