What is Edison Health Solutions?

We're proudly one of the few remaining independent third party administrators or TPAs in the benefits business. We're not compromised or influenced by investor interests, but committed to fulfill our duties as a fiduciary, to do the right thing always for our employer customers, their work families, and our independent benefit advisor partners. We are a total health plan solution provider, a one-stop, one call BUCA plan replacement, if you will. And we're very proud of our history which dates back to 1992, when our founder, Tom Emerick, was handpicked by Sam Walton to address Walmart's healthcare quality and cost issues. This resulted in Tom building the first destination Centers of Excellence Network, that is the legacy of Edison Health Solutions today.

How is Edison Health Solutions different?

Tom's actuarial background and training led him to identify an epidemic in healthcare. That epidemic is the misdiagnosis, over-utilization, and sub-optimal care that unfortunately still exists, and is a problem to solve today. The solution was the equation P plus D plus Q equals O. P, the patient comes first always. D, we owe it to the patient to get the diagnosis correct. Q, we want to, once we have the diagnosis correct, quickly move them to the highest quality care team. And O, when we do this, we optimize the outcome for the patient, for their family, and for the employer. Chris, this equation is foundational to our "why" at Edison Health Solutions, not as an option or a bold on product, but core to our value in every health plan solution that we serve.

Who is a good fit for Edison Health Solutions?

Well, to borrow a line from one of my favorite movies, "Tommy Boy", we build health plan solutions that deliver high quality patient care that results in lower costs for the independent benefit advisor, their prospects and their clients, because that's who we are and that's who we care about.
