What is Goldfinch Health?

Sure, as you know, surgeries are at the core of most large health claims, about two-thirds of them. So controlling or optimizing these claims is key. Goldfinch Health is now available for self-funded groups who don't want a narrow network but want results based upon the most clinically validated science. There's a 21st way through surgery with better outcomes, and we're on a mission to make sure our members get it. Unfortunately, patients just don't know what questions to ask or where to go. So they typically end up with the procedure that their surgeon was trained on sometimes 20 or 30 years ago. We're out to change that. At Goldfinch, our nurse navigators reach out to the surgical team on behalf of the member, requesting the most advanced surgical protocols that enhanced recovery after surgery or ERAS. When presented with the science, most of the surgeons are willing to update their protocols. And if not, we can navigate the patient to a surgeon that will. These small changes to the plan make a monumental difference in the patient's outcomes and speed up recovery, reducing costly complications and readmissions. On average, we're saving 42 days in recovery. So people are getting back to the things that they love 42 days sooner. Our nurses will work around the member, it's like immediately finding a new best friend who is an expert, in what you're going through and is there for you guiding you all along the way. Goldfinch has created a repeatable formula to engage members. Last year our engagement was 68 percent. Surgery is scary, and people want help.

How is Goldfinch Health different?

Sure, we help companies save money on surgery and recovery without restricting choice. We hire nurses who make sure the patient is at the center of all surgical decisions. We are carrier agnostic and can layer on a COE or bundle. We get ahead of surgery. All we need is a TPA pre-cert file. It's probably the easiest benefit I've ever implemented. We can implement in 30 to 60 days and you only pay case-rate when service is utilized.
